The Animal Emergency Clinic of Durham Region is an after-hour emergency clinic that is pleased to accept transfers from our surrounding day clinics. We are open from 7 pm to 8 am weekdays and 7 pm Friday night to 8 am Monday morning, offering 24 hour coverage on weekends and holidays.
Any patients requiring after hour care are to be transferred her after 7 pm and will be discharged from our facility between 7 and 7:30 am to be transferred back to the regular day clinic if they require ongoing care. As a full-service emergency clinic we accept transfers from member and non-member clinic for after-hour care. Our transfer procedures for day clinics are outlined here on our web site.
We do not have specialists on staff, and any cases that require intensive 24 hour care, should be referred to another 24-hour specialty facility.Our “Transfer Sheet” can be filled out on-line, printed and faxed or filled out and e-mailed to us. Please ensure that you have included all of the required information, including a phone number that you can be reached at if necessary.
